Adoptable Dogs
Any unaltered dog or puppy will have
a $75.00 refundable spay/neuter deposit along with the adoption donation.
This deposit will be refunded when proof of spay or neuter is received or
you can choose to donate this deposit to the rescue.
We are happy to adopt dogs out of state but we CANNOT ship or transport
dogs due to the stress to the dogs. If you are wanting to adopt one of
our dogs, please plan to make the trip to the area in which the dog is
being fostered.

This is Happy, he is micro-chipped and housetrained. He is a very sweet
boy, who knows come, sit, stay, down, kennel, shake, and other hand,
plus he is learning wait. Happy is very gentle and pretty calm with the
9 year old daughter. Great with other dogs and loves people. He would be

I'm an energetic, happy-go-lucky dog that loves to flush birds, chase
squirrels, and show off my athletic ability. But, if you pet me gently,
I turn to Jell-O and melt in your hands. I love being around all people,
other dogs, and cats. I was discovered in a shelter in rural Kansas
where my time was up. Luckily, someone noticed my effervescent
personality and knew I’d make someone the perfect companion. My foster
Mom loves that I’m smaller than most of the other Pointer mixes with
Midwest PAWS. She calls me her pocket dog and loves to wrap her arms
around me feel how soft I am. I’ve been a mom myself, so I know the
feeling. Give me a chance and you will have a loving friend for life!

This is Dixie, she is a very sweet SOFT coated girl who is house trained
and would love to lay in your lap if you let her. She has vaulted a four
foot fence so she will need to be watched and worked with when outside.
Dixie also has some fear issues which cause her to urinate if you come
at her in a way that she feels is aggressive. She will dribble about a
nickel sized spot. Overall she is a great dog who needs lots of love and
patients. She deserves a good home after what she has been through.

This is Annie. She is one you have to meet and you'll fall in love
instantly. She’s a retired professional mother, and until recently she
lived in a small cage on a puppy mill. Her purpose was merely to give
her owner lots of precious puppies to sell for a profit. Thankfully,
those days are over. Annie is the sweetest and most loving dog you could
ever hope for. Since she’s become house broken and crate trained, she’s
become mostly an inside dog. Annie loves her toys and loves other dogs
more than anything! She gets along great with all dogs and cats. She
loves her walks but tends to poop out a little sooner than the rest as
she's a real low energy dog. Her true calling in life is to be a loving
companion and a good dog. Poor gal never had a real home or warm bed,
and she deserves a second chance. Annie is a bit timid around humans and
she needs someone to love her and be patient while she gets used to
them. I think Annie would do best with older children that can
understand her fears and trepidations and capable of helping her through

My name is Henri and I came to Midwest PAW's from Texas. I am a two year
old silver male Weimaraner. I am house trained and love to play! I get
along with everybody, even my foster Mom's kitty. I was taken from my
old house in Texas because I was tied to a fence with a 5 foot lead and
they forgot to feed me and leave me some water, I was 48 pounds and 50%
dehydrated when they took me away, Now I am a healthy 64 pounds and
happy. I get to stay in a cool house now and run around in a big old
yard. I love going for car rides and meeting new people. I am a very
handsome, affectionate boy. I am looking forward to meeting you soon!

Henri is blind, but is very self sufficient; he is able to locate you,
his food, and water from any where in the house or yard. He is now in a
foster home with young children and does very well. He is a very
gorgeous boy and doesn’t let his not being able to see stop him. There

What can I say...Sprite likes car rides and long walks in the park...I
feel like I am posting to a dating website?!? =-) Sprite is a beautiful
girls who came from a bad situation. She spent the first 5 years of her
life in a breeding facility cut off from human contact, currently she
has been in foster care for about 4 months and is doing much better and
extremely more happy! Don't let her age fool you, she likes to get
outside to walk and run but she also will be lazy around the house.
Sprite is learning her obedience, she knows sit, stay, down, and she is
working on heel. Sprite is an excellent jogging partner. If you would

This is Doogan, he came from a bad
situation in western Kansas. He was pelted in the butt by a shotgun and
left out in the elements. He was starved and sick when we brought him
in. He has since become happy and healthy. He loves to hunt and has rid
his foster Mom’s house of mice. Doogan is an energetic boy who will need
a 5 or 6ft fenced backyard with lots of room. He gets along well with
other dogs and cats, and thinks he’s part human. He will assimilate
easily into a family. He knows commands such as sit and stay, and will
do just about anything for a potato chip. His foster mom also thinks he
will be a good jogging partner because one day he jumped her 4ft fence
and there were two joggers running down the street…he got in-between and
stayed on pace?!?! =-) Please consider opening your heart and home to

Are you looking for a cute liver colored dog? Well, look no further than
Sasha. She is a German Shorthaired Pointer whom is about 3 years old.
Sasha didn’t have the best start to life, but she sure is enjoying it so
far. She is an amazing athlete, and can jump fences, so she will need a
very secure area.She can run for
hours, or she can curl up by you on the sofa and snooze.She can be a bit aggressive with new dogs, so she needs someone
who will set boundaries and limitations for her. She knows limited
obedience, but she knows sit, down, come, wait, out, and kennel.She is pretty good in the house, and is 100% house trained, she
rarely has accidents. She is such a sweet girl who is in need of a
family who can burn her energy.

Molly is a very friendly, sweet tempered girl that gets along well with

crated trained. She is a well behaved girl - doesn't dig holes or chew
things she's not supposed to. She doesn't jump fences but did take the
opportunity to go under my back fence to go visit the neighbor once. She
loves to go on walks but most of all she loves to be petted and just
talked to. Since she is over five, she is a calm, settled girl. Molly is
