On September 11, 2009 We received 12 Weimaraners into
the rescue,
1 adult female about 5 years old with 4 14 week old pups ,
1 Momma with 3 -3 week old puppies and 1 momma with 2- 2
week old pups.
Picking up these babies was an experience we prepared
ourselves for. We brought them back to Kansas City and into
the waiting arms of our generous volunteers. We took the Mommas with
tiny babies to their foster homes to settle in and rest. Momma with
the older pups stayed at the adoption center overnight to be
bathed and sent into their foster homes.
We found out on
Saturday they were sick..parasites from living in less than
desirable conditions, out doors and without fresh drinking water.
They were bathed and loved on, still so scared and not used to
people. The babies are under vets care until they are
healthy enough to go into foster care.
We will add more pictures later, but as you can see they
are adorable.
The 14 week old pups will be ready for adoption when they
are well, their Momma also.
The others will stay in rescue until they are old enough to
be adopted.
Below you will find the first pictures upon arrival to the puppy
mill to pick them up and after they were brought back to Kansas City. |
